A-ABOUT LOUVERED WINDOWS:
Standard Steel Windows can be provided with a variety
of louver designs and sizes. Here are the explanations
and details of Louver designs that are most commonly
used.
The choice of which to use must be determined by the
architect on aesthetic, functional, and economic
grounds.
Function : Louvers permit free air passage, controlling
the volume by their size or design. They diffuse or
control direction of air flow by blade design.
Insert Louvers : Louvers commonly used in Steel
Louvered Windows are of the “insert” type designed to
be mounted into a Hollow Frame or Tubular Steel
Frame. Inverted “V” blade, “Z” blade, chevron-type
blade & lightproof types are available in a wide range
of sizes.
Insert louvers intended for exterior use where security
& ventilation is a consideration should have fasteners
or materials specified accordingly.
